The Mental Ideas Awards were conceived to reward and recognise individual social entrepreneurs, non-profit organisations and community groups offering creative solutions to mental health issues. The objective is to create and support the next generation of social enterprise leaders, change-makers, art-activists and innovators.

Mental Ideas defines a social entrepreneur as: “An individual who acts for public or social benefit (rather than to make money), has an innovative approach to addressing a need, and the ability to effectively develop and grow their ideas to maximize impact.”

It is hoped the inaugural Mental Ideas Awards will take place at the end of the year and be compered by Mental Ideas ambassador and showman Mat Ricardo.
