Paper Plane Takes Off!

Sadie Kaye’s review of Nifraz Rifaz‘s soaring debut novel Paper Plane crash landed in The Hooghly Review! The book launched in his native Sri Lanka Nov 29. Since then, Nifraz has been on a flight of fantasy promoting his book, even receiving some love from legendary Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A. in London, whose hit ‘Paper Plane’ inspired the title! (She hearted his posts about the book after he joined one of her IG live events.)

Next stop: Hong Kong! Nifraz will be talking about his novel at the Hong Kong Writers Circle’s Hong Kong International Literary Festival 2026 launch of its 21st anthology. Coming of Age , edited by the dream team of Jay Oatway and Julian Lyden, which will be held at the Asia Society Sat 7 March from 8-9.30pm.
