Mental Ideas ambassador Eugenia Kim is holding an event in Hong Kong from Oct 3-6 to showcase her VR dance prototype Lithium Hindsight 360 and YOU’RE invited! If you live in Hong Kong… or plan to visit… and aren’t put off by the protests… and wear a gas mask to travel anyway…
6th Floor Balcony Space
Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre
18, Tat Hong Avenue
Oct 3 – Oct 6
11.30am – 3.30pm
Lithium Hindsight 360 (LH 360) is a Virtual Reality prototype showing how contemporary dance and somatic movement practices can be used to portray a patient with bipolar disorder’s daily experience. It’s intended to help other patients visualize how they might use motion capture and VR technologies to communicate their individual experience to non-patients. Event attendees will be guided through the experience by Eugenia and are welcome to ask questions, give feedback, etc.
The Closing Reception will take place Sunday Oct 6th in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week. Attendees are invited to contribute small drawings, improvised movement or other brief forms of non-verbal artistic expression that reflect their own experiences with mental illness and views.
